Jonas And Pardew Speak Highly Of HBA
By Toon Stig
Toon hero Jonas Gutierrez, who scored the last minute winner against Blackburn, has spoken highly of Hatem Ben Arfa who scored a great goal yesterday abd he feels he will play an important role now the club are without Demba Ba and Cheik Tiote who departed for the African Nations.
The Frenchman hasn't had much game time recently which led him to vent his frustration in an interview not so long ago.
The Argentine said,
"There was
a lot of pressure on him
because he has not played
as much as he would have
wanted.
"He wants to play more,
so it was important for his
confidence.
"We need all the players
now more than ever. We
don't have Cheik and
Demba, so we need all the
players focused, so it is
really good for him to get
the confidence."
Pardew felt Ben Arfa's goal was the best he had ever seen.
"It's the
greatest goal, in my
opinion, I have ever seen
with my eyes because just
the technical part of it - to
beat six players, to skip
past people, left-foot,
right-foot, cut-back,
accelerate, everything that
was involved in it, it was an
unbelievable goal. I am
absolutely chuffed for him."
