Derby's Loan Bid For Perch Rejected

Newcastle have rejected Derby's loan bid for James Perch.

Perch signed for Newcastle in the summer of 2010, playing regularly until falling down the pecking order at St. James' Park.
He's currently Newcastle's only CB cover as Mike Williamson is injured.

Derby manager, Nigel Clough is looking for a replacement for John Brayford after he got injured. The search shall continue for Clough.

He said, "We are looking at the
loan market and we asked
about James, but he is
providing defensive cover
at Newcastle."
"They have got a couple
of injuries, so he cannot
come out at the moment,"
"Yes, if we can get a right-
back in of a certain quality,
we will. But he will have to
be better than Russell
Anderson, who battled
away against
Southampton.

"We miss John Brayford,
we miss the impetus he
gives us going forward.
But Russell was steady on
Saturday and he might
even find it a bit easier
away from home."
