10-Men Newcastle Draw With Reds

Newcastle have drawn 1-1 with Man. Utd after Demba Ba scored a penalty after a very tightly fought game which saw Jonas Gutierrez get sent off after 69 mins and Tim Krul make some sensational saves to give his side a well earned point.

Ryan Giggs was denied by Krul just before half time after the home side had most of the posession. Gabriel Obertan and Hatem Ben Arfa were worldwide twitter trending topics at half time.

Hernandez scored The Reds goal on the 49 minute mark after Wayne Rooney's shot deflected off the Mexican.

Rio Ferdinand controversially gave away a penalty on Hatem Ben Arfa which Ba netted in to earn The Magpies a draw and his 9th goal of the season.

Gutierrez recieved his second yellow on the 78th minute. Danny Simpson was crucial for Newcastle and so was Krul. The Toon defence did everything to keep Man. Utd out.
