Newcastle have drawn 0-0 with Swansea in a match the home side really should have won after frustratingly hitting the woodwork twice.
Coloccini had a chance early on after a cross from Cabaye helped him get a header in which hit the post.
Demba Ba pulled off an acrobatic over head shot which also came into contact with the post.
Both Keepers Vorm and Krul were on top form, both fighting for the #1 GK spot in the Holland Squad for Euro 2012.
Yohan Cabaye picked up a yellow card and will miss the next game against WBA in 4 days time.
A heartfelt tribute to Gary Speed took place before kick off, with Alan Shearer, Steve Harper and Speed's sons and Dad on the pitch whilst a Welsh Anthem 'Bread Of Heaven' was sang.
