Pardew's Joy At 2-0 Victory
By Toon Stig
Alan Pardew has spoken of his relievement to finally get a win and end their 6 game win drought with a 2-0 win away to Bolton at The Reebok.
The Toon Manager also told of his joy to have Mike Williamson back who is the only natural centre-half in the wafer thin team aswell as Captain Fabricio Coloccini who both prevailed in a good showing in the 2-0 win. Steven Taylor is the 3rd natural centre-half but is out for the season with an achilles problem. Williamson returned to action after being out since August with an ankle injury.
Pardew had this to say,
"We put ourselves under
pressure with the 3-2
defeat to West Brom so it
was important that we
gave a more disciplined
performance and I think
we did that.
"We felt from the last two
games that four points
would have been really
pleasing. We didn't
manage to get anything
against West Brom but we
got three very valuable
ones.
"In the Premier League
you don't want to create
pressure for yourselves by
having a winless run like
we were on. We felt
certain things didn't really
go for us in that period
but we had round pegs in
round holes today.
"Mike Williamson made a
big difference to us
because he's a natural
centre-half. As much as
Bolton threw at us, him
and Fabricio Coloccini had
the answers."

Re: Pardew's Joy At 2-0 Victory
It was a good game tim krul had to help keep it 0-0 before the break but i suppose that shows how much he has grown to be a star this past year.It also showen the fans how much players want to help defend there goal by throwing bodies in the way.The second half has to be one of the best we have seen this season. We had a good tempo passed the ball around as soon as we got the first that took the confidence out of then lets us in with the play from obertan top run and skill by him and ba intercept of the pass was great. Lets hope this confidence can help us against liverpool
