By Toon Stig

Newcastle have made it to the 4th Round Of The Carling Cup after narrowly beating Notts Forest 4-3, with Fabricio Coloccini scoring the winner in the last minute of extra time.

The big question is can Newcastle win the Carling Cup?

Newcastle have had both of their matches away which can be very tough as the home fans get right behind the home team and the small stadium gets full of home atmosphere which spurs the home team on hence why a home tie for Newcastle in the next round would be fantastic for them. 50,000 Newcastle fans cheering them on, filling St. James' Park with black and white stripes. With this kind of setting, I feel Newcastle could beat anyone. I certainly think that Newcastle can win the cup. Its the way you play on the day that counts not statistics. I also feel that they need to adapt their way they play away in order for cup success. Newcastle need to up their game and with the right fixtures and results, they can win it!
