Newcastle United have drawn 2-2 with Spurs after Shola Ameobi scored a fantastic equaliser that earned Newcastle a well deserved point and extended their unbeaten run to 8 games, keeping them 4th in the PL.

Spurs took the lead in the first half after a clumsy tackle from Steven Taylor on Emmanuel Adebayor in the penalty area, with Rafal Van Der Vaart netting in the penalty with style.

The Home Side scored the equaliser early on in the second half after a beautiful through pass from the on-form Jonas Gutierrez set up Demba Ba to bang in the equaliser leaving Brad Friedel helpless.

The Visitors brought on Jermaine Defoe who scored an unstoppable goal putting them ahead.

On came Hatem Ben Arfa and Shola Ameobi for Newcastle who made their presence known immediately with Ameobi scoring the equaliser which he tucked into the far right corner of the goal in a beautiful fashion.

The last 10 minutes were manic with Krul denying Defoe and Coloccini coming close to scoring the winner.
