Newcastle United: January transfer targets

Who will Newcastle sign in the January transfer window?...
This question has been on every United fans mind as Newcastle manager Alan Pardew stated he will be careful not to sign any more high profile ''flops'' this January.
Many toon fans remember the signature of current Manchester United striker Michael Owen from Real Madrid for £16 million.
It just so happens that the toon army have short-listed some potential January signings including strikers James Beattie and Modigo Maiga. Beattie is currently a free-agent whilst Mali international Maiga plays for french club FC Sochaux.
Newcastle have kept track of other targets including David 'Junior' Hoilett, Liam Ridgewell and Javi Marquez.
