Aston Villa vs Newcastle United Match Report
By Toon Stig
Newcastle played their 5th game of the season away at Villa Park facing an unbeaten Aston Villa.
The Magpies went into the match also unbeaten looking to maintain their 4th place in the table having won two and drawn two.
Aston Villa took the lead early on after just 13 minutes when Agbonlahor scored a goal that went into corner of the goal, going past Tim Krul's right hand.
Villa didn't have many more chances in the match and got their goal on the break.
Newcastle dominated possession with Villa playing rather sloppy.
Leon Best scored the equaliser for Newcastle after Yohan Cabaye's shot hit the cross bar which set up Best's tap in. They could have easily won the game with the amount of good chances created but Shay Given was equal to it pulling off some remarkable saves to earn Villa a point. Yohan Cabaye was by far Newcastle's best player today creating some great attacks. Steven Taylor also had a pop at goal with a decent volley set up by Cabaye's corner.
Both teams remain unbeaten.
